DLA Piper has sponsored the second edition of the AIA-CAM Pre-Moot, held in Milan between 23 and 24 February 2017.
During the two days of the event, teams of 19 universities from all over Europe (Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, The Netherlands, Palestine, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey) gathered in Milan to compete on a simulated arbitration.
The hearings were based on the problem of the “Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot”, that concerns a moot dispute, flowing from a contract governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
As usual, the Pre-Moot has been a unique opportunity for students involved in the competition to test their preparation and develop their skills before panels made up of some of the most distinguished arbitration experts and practitioners in Italy.
DLA Piper’s lawyers and trainees have been actively involved in the organization of the event and have arbitrated several hearings during the two days of the Pre-Moot.
